Janice Shade is a social entrepreneur, financial innovator, and author with 30 years' experience building brands, businesses, and movements. As Founder/Executive Director of the Capital Innovation Lab, she leads efforts to catalyze a regenerative capital system that supports healthy, resilient, interconnected, local economies. Her book, Moving Mountains: The Power of Main Street Americans to Change Our Economy, illustrates how citizen investors can be a positive force for change in their communities.


Lauren Bass is the Director of LaunchVT, Vermont's premier startup accelerator program, and a part-time Instructor at UVM's Grossman School of Business. She is also a reformed entrepreneur and third-generation family business stakeholder who believes in harnessing business as a force for good. Inspired by her own family's efforts to build community value, Lauren enrolled in UVM's Sustainable Innovation MBA program and graduated in 2020. Since then, Lauren has focused on harnessing the power of sustainable, scalable, entrepreneurship as an engine to fuel Vermont's growing startup community and economy.


Evan Goldsmith is an impact driver, social entrepreneur, and sustainability professional with 25+ years' experience working with triple bottom line businesses in Vermont and around the world. He has guided companies to B Corp Certification, and has worked on all aspects of creating sustainable consumer products - from determining conceptual feasibility to sourcing, supply chain management, and sales. Evan is currently the Head of Global Business Development for IndiVillage Tech Solutions.
