Amy joined Marble Trail in January of 2023. She specializes in business and individual income tax matters year-round from compliance to planning. Originally hailing from Alabama, she attended the University of Alabama where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Accountancy. Throughout college, she worked with a small CPA firm in Tuscaloosa and went on to work at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP for over 7 years in Boston, MA, specializing in business income taxes for global, privately held companies. She joined Marble Trail to get back to the heart of why she got into taxes - helping small businesses and their owners navigate through the tax world. Amy moved to Middlebury with her husband in the fall of 2021. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, dancing, painting, hiking, and is learning to drum!

Lela grew up in New Jersey, but came to Vermont for college, attending St. Michael’s College for Philosophy. After several years of moving around the country seasonally, Lela returned to Vermont to work at the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, first as a Park Ranger, and then moving into the office and ultimately becoming Business Manager. It was here that Lela’s love for numbers showed itself, and back to classes she went, taking classes to allow her to sit the CPA exam, and becoming licensed in 2006. After many years working in public accounting, Lela got tired of having to refer clients out when they were looking for financial planning services, and again returned to classes to enable her to sit the CFP® exam and attained that designation in 2019. Lela is thrilled to have found Marble Trail, where the integration of financial planning and taxes provides wholistic financial assistance to clients. Outside of the office, Lela likes being active and outdoors. One of her proudest accomplishments is that she and her teenage daughter backpacked the entire Vermont Long Trail over two summers. She lives in Bolton, Vermont, surrounded by the mountains, and spends many hours outside wandering off trail, or running the backroads to train for half marathons.
