Tool Training is a one night prerequisite for new participants to use our Woodworking Lab.

Intro to the shop, tools, machinery and properties of wood. Limited to 8 people.

June 17, June 24, July 8 (3 sessions): Learn to Carve Wooden Spoons, 6-8 p.m.

Learn how to hand-carve a wooden spoon. From simple to ornate, spoons have been made this way for hundreds of years across many different cultures. You must attend the first session to attend the second and third.

The tuition fee ($60 per person) includes three sessions, two knives for you to keep, and a wooden blank from which to carve.

Tuesday, July 13: Build a Bird House, 5-8 p.m.

Learn how to make a bird house. The cost of the class ($15 per person) includes materials (wood and fasteners) to make one house and instructions to take with you to make more on your own.
