Free Community Workshop!

Our current choices for heating our buildings are expensive and harmful to our environment.

In addition, much of this heat is wasted—vented from buildings or flushed down the drain—or untapped from the ground under our feet. We can capture and repurpose this thermal energy to provide heating and cooling that's locally beneficial in many ways.

In this introductory, interactive workshop you can:

  • Learn about a neighborhood approach to using the heat we already have to make low- carbon heating & cooling accessible across our community.
  • Explore where we have excess heat and where we could use it.
  • Understand how Thermal Energy Networks—a low-tech thermal solution—work and what we can do here in Middlebury.

Your input is needed. Please join this community-led initiative to leverage local opportunities and achieve our shared goals for a thriving Middlebury.

Food & drink provided.
